Test of English As a Foreign
Language or TOEFL is so common in the ears of the people of Indonesia, especially in academia. This test is
done to measure and know our capabilities and skills
in the English language. This test is conducted by
ETS or Educational
Testing Service and was first introduced
in 1963. Tests also
has a very big role in the
career and academic
opportunities. For example, the results of the
TOEFL test can be used to apply for a job at
an agency and
serves as a condition of admission to the university. TOEFL test can also be used
to receive financial
aid or scholarship. The following
will be discussed and mentioned about the three
types of the TOEFL test and the difference of
each test.
There are three types
of TOEFL is conducted by different
methods.
1) The first
is PBT-TOEFL or TOEFL Paper Based Test or
in our language is a paper-based TOEFL test.
As the name suggests, this test is done on paper
with three examination
sessions, namely Listening, Structure,
and Reading. TOEFL
type has a range
of values or scores from 310 to 677 as the maximum value. This
test lasts for 2 to 2.5 hours. Currently,
PBT-TOEFL is no
longer applied in
the international sphere, except for
a few countries. However, there are many local
agencies in Indonesia are still willing to
accept the results of PBT-TOEFL score.
2)
The
second is that CBT-Computer Based Test TOEFL or TOEFL or computer-based TOEFL
test. This test uses
the official software published by ETS as
the test medium. In
other words, examinees are working
on the computer-based TOEFL
exam. In this
type of test, there are four exam sessions are
Listening, Structure, Reading, and Writing. In
addition, this test lasts for 2 to 2.5 hours.
CBT-TOEFL has a
range of values between zero and
330 as the highest
value.
3) TOEFL iBT is the
last or Internet-Based Test TOEFL or
also called a TOEFL
Internet-based test. Type TOEFL test is what was
in effect and recognized globally. TOEFL this
type was introduced and applied in the
international world in 2005.
Type the TOEFL
test is done
on the computer, only this time there is no software support as testing medium,
but done online or
in other words, the examinee will work on test
questions provided by ETS directly online. The
test consists of four test sessions,
namely Listening, Writing, Reading, and Speaking
with a maximum value
of 120, and lasted for 4 hours.

and Integrated Test.

continue your study abroad because foreign
universities require the TOEFL-iBT scores as one of
the mandatory requirements.
In short, the TOEFL test is divided into
three types: PBT-TOEFL, CBT-TOEFL
and TOEFL iBT-. All three can still
be found because it is still
valid. However, in
the international world, the TOEFL iBT-who
endorsed and recognized

Toefl is a proficiency test, meaning that a new test used to measure a
person with no English language
skills directly associated
with the learning process. Toefl itself differently

includes four aspects: (1) Listening Comprehension, (2) Structure and Written

Toefl Structure
There are three parts of the TOEFL test
to be done by the
participants. The first part is
the questions that measure the ability of Listening Comprehension (50 questions), Structure and Written Expression
(40 questions), and
Reading Comprehension (50
questions). The whole matter was made in the form of multiple choice. Whole test
lasted approximately 150 minutes, for
Paper Based TOEFL, and approximately 240
minutes for Computer
Based TOEFL.

Test Bahasa Inggris
Sebagai Bahasa Asing atau TOEFL begitu umum di telinga masyarakat Indonesia ,
khususnya dalam dunia akademis. Tes ini dilakukan untuk mengukur dan
mengetahui kemampuan dan keterampilan dalam bahasa Inggris. Tes ini dilakukan
oleh ETS atau Educational Testing Service dan pertama kali diperkenalkan pada
tahun 1963. Tes juga memiliki peran yang sangat besar dalam karir dan
kesempatan akademik. Sebagai contoh, hasil tes TOEFL dapat digunakan untuk melamar
pekerjaan di sebuah biro dan berfungsi sebagai syarat masuk ke universitas.
Tes TOEFL juga dapat digunakan untuk menerima bantuan keuangan atau beasiswa.
Berikut ini akan dibahas dan disebutkan tentang tiga jenis tes TOEFL dan
perbedaan dari setiap tes .
Ada tiga jenis TOEFL dilakukan dengan metode yang berbeda .
1. Yang pertama adalah PBT -
TOEFL atau TOEFL Paper Based Test atau dalam bahasa kita adalah tes TOEFL
berbasis kertas . Seperti namanya , tes ini dilakukan pada kertas dengan tiga

memiliki rentang nilai atau skor 310-677 sebagai nilai maksimum . Tes ini
berlangsung selama 2 sampai 2,5 jam . Saat ini , PBT - TOEFL tidak lagi
diterapkan dalam lingkup internasional , kecuali untuk beberapa negara . Namun,
ada banyak lembaga lokal di Indonesia masih bersedia menerima hasil skor PBT -
TOEFL .
2. Yang kedua adalah bahwa
Berbasis CBT - Computer tes TOEFL atau TOEFL atau tes TOEFL berbasis komputer .
Tes ini menggunakan software resmi yang dikeluarkan oleh ETS sebagai media uji
. Dengan kata lain, peserta ujian yang bekerja pada ujian TOEFL berbasis
komputer . Dalam jenis tes, ada empat sesi ujian Listening , Structure ,

internet . Tes TOEFL Ketik adalah apa yang berlaku dan diakui secara global .
TOEFL jenis ini diperkenalkan dan diterapkan di dunia internasional pada tahun
2005 . Ketik tes TOEFL dilakukan pada komputer , hanya saja kali ini tidak ada
dukungan perangkat lunak sebagai media pengujian , tetapi dilakukan secara
online atau dengan kata lain , terperiksa akan bekerja pada uji pertanyaan yang
diberikan oleh ETS langsung online. Tes terdiri dari empat sesi tes, yaitu
Mendengarkan , Menulis , Membaca , dan Berbicara dengan nilai maksimum 120 ,
dan berlangsung selama 4 jam . Jenis tes dibagi menjadi dua bagian , yaitu Tes
Individu dan Tes Terpadu . Ini adalah jenis tes yang cocok jika Anda ingin
melanjutkan studi di luar negeri karena perguruan tinggi asing memerlukan skor
TOEFL iBT - sebagai salah satu persyaratan wajib .
Singkatnya , tes TOEFL
dibagi menjadi tiga jenis : PBT - TOEFL , CBT - TOEFL dan TOEFL iBT . Ketiganya
masih dapat ditemukan karena masih valid. Namun, di dunia internasional , TOEFL

baru dalam setiap pelaksanaan tes , sementara sekitar Kelembagaan Toefl Test
dan Uji Seperti masalah berasal dari beberapa tahun sebelumnya dari Toefl Tes
International .
Struktur TOEFL
Ada tiga bagian tes TOEFL yang harus dilakukan oleh peserta. Bagian pertama adalah pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang mengukur kemampuan Listening Comprehension (50 pertanyaan) , Struktur dan Ekspresi Ditulis ( 40 pertanyaan), dan Reading Comprehension (50 pertanyaan).
